Concept This activity to look anew at the current dynamics of migrant and refugees and perception toward their integration in some Asian countries. Migration & refugee flow have characterized Asian lives and livelihoods in different ways particularly in the last decades as mobility increased worldwide; they have affected employment, citizens-refugees relations, media perception, naturalization, international relations, settlement patterns, etc. This mobility be it forced or voluntary has shaped and changed the composition of Asian societies and given rise to complex problems and opportunities. Speakers will address a wide range of sub-disciplines of social sciences including communication, political science, human geography, and anthropology.
